FDIC Consumer Education The FDIC provides resources to educate and protect consumers. Read FDIC’s free publications, view videos on consumers issues, calculate FDIC Insurance using the FDIC’s Electronic Deposit Insurance Estimator (EDIE) or view consumer alerts posted.
A FDIC on-line tool is also available to help educate consumers how to better protect their computers and themselves from identity theft, and steps to take if they have been victimized.
